The Intelligence Agency in the Ministry of Interior held a workshop at the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad under the title “Psychological Operations in Combating Extremism.”
The intelligence agency indicated that the workshop aims to shed light on the concept of extremism, its risks, causes and methods of treatment, by discussing the importance of the role of psychological counseling at the present time, especially the segment of professors and university students, as well as exchanging information and visions and emphasizing the preventive and curative goals of psychological counseling as a science, art and skill. Confronting extremist behaviors and the relationship of extremism with terrorism and the social effects of extremism to reach students to the best levels of building a society.
The Intelligence Agency emphasized the role played by the University of Baghdad to guide students and develop sound thinking in them, explaining the importance of the role played by the university in guiding generations of all ages to prepare curricula that activate the factors of straight thinking while receiving education
