Students in the second stage of evening studies at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Baghdad held an awareness seminar entitled “Socio-political implications of social media”
Under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Badawei, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Raghad Nassif and the management of Assistant Teacher Ali Abbas.
The researchers provided a detailed explanation of the pros and cons of social media, as well as a thorough definition of cyber-extortion offences and suggestions and recommendations to address such an offence to relevant official entities.
On the other hand, researchers have addressed the political impact social media has played by bringing about political changes in many countries.
