Within the framework of scientific and extracurricular activities, the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad organizes, on May 5, 2026, a field visit with the participation of a group of professors from the Department of International Studies and the Department of Political Thought. The visit is to the Martyrs Foundation / Directorate of Educational and Cultural Affairs – Administrative Affairs Department, and includes a number of freshman students from the Department of International Studies.
The visit comprises a meeting with the Head of the Department, who provides a detailed explanation of the nature of the Foundation’s work and its administrative mechanisms. He also outlines the tasks undertaken to serve the segment of martyrs’ families, in addition to presenting the most prominent programs and activities implemented in this context.
The visit witnesses positive interaction from the students, as they pose a set of questions and inquiries that are answered, contributing to enhancing their understanding of the practical aspects related to their specialization.
This visit is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 regarding Quality Education by promoting applied learning, and Goal 16, which focuses on building strong and transparent institutions by introducing students to the role of national institutions and their mechanisms of action in serving society.
This visit comes in the context of linking the theoretical side with the practical one and developing institutional awareness among students
