Literacy is a crucial step towards enhancing learning opportunities, bridging educational gaps, and empowering individuals to actively participate in society, thereby expanding their knowledge and empowering them to shape their future. In this context, the College of Political Science/Human Rights Unit emphasizes the importance of enshrining the right to education and knowledge, promoting a culture of lifelong learning, and supporting efforts to build a more informed, just, and resilient society capable of facing future challenges. The College affirms that literacy is not the end of education, but rather the beginning of a journey towards knowledge, empowerment, and the preservation of human dignity.
