The Journal of Political Science, published by the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, has achieved a new scientific milestone by being selected for inclusion in the Arabic Citation Index (ARCI), according to an official notification issued by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. This achievement enhances the journal’s visibility in scientific databases and supports the wider dissemination of the academic research it publishes. The notification stated that all issues of the journal up to 2026 had been made available through the Web of Science platform, operated by Clarivate, while work is continuing to complete the inclusion of newly published issues. This development contributes to expanding access to the journal’s scholarly output and enhancing opportunities for researchers to consult and cite its publications in academic research and studies. As well, it highlights the importance of continuously developing scientific and academic publishing, enhancing research quality, and expanding the dissemination of scholarly work. It also reinforces the role of the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad in supporting research activities and enriching specialized knowledge in the field of political science.
This achievement aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), through supporting scientific research and facilitating access to academic knowledge, and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), by promoting knowledge and specialized studies that contribute to understanding political and institutional issues and supporting the development of effective institutions.
