The College of Political Sciences – University of Baghdad witnessed on Tuesday, 28th of April.2026, the discussion of the Master’s thesis entitled ” Re-shaping the power in the Middle East : a Study in the Israeli Strategy after 2003 ” , introduced by the student Shahad Khazim Saad Khlaf in Jihad Al-Hassany Hall, with the attendance of a specialist scientific committee and a number of professors and students.
The thesis consisted of three chapters in which the researcher dealt with the regional transformations in the Middle East after 2003, especially the events of 7 October and its reflections on the types of distributing influences in the region, by analyzing Israeli strategy as the main base, concentrating on the mixture between the security , political , and military influences in recreating this strategy within an environment filled with multiple influencing centers.
The thesis reached the following conclusions: the most noticeable ones are that the process of redistributing power in the Middle East becomes more complicated as a result of many changeable conditions, and the Israeli strategy witnessed a transformation towards reinforcing their military and security forces , expanding their regional influence , and integrating specific tools to exceed the traditional military forces within the unstable regional environment.

After an intensive discussion, the thesis was accepted and granted a “ very good “ estimation
