Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Professor Dr. Adel Al-Badewi, the Educational Guidance Unit organized a scientific and cultural festival titled “Towards Sustainable Development: Scientific and Environmental Dimensions” at Al-Hurriya Hall on Thursday, April 30, 2026. This event comes as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to support academic and cultural activities and foster an active university environment.
The festival featured a cultural competition and a scientific debate, in addition to an environmental initiative titled “Green Impact,” which involved planting trees within the college campus. The event witnessed notable participation from students and faculty members, with direct follow-up from the College Administration, reflecting its commitment to promoting initiative and teamwork.
The activities also witnessed remarkable engagement that contributed to the development of students’ dialogue and critical thinking skills, as well as enhancing their awareness of environmental issues. This aligns with the College’s vision of preparing a conscious generation capable of addressing contemporary challenges.
In this context, the event reflects the College’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 15 (Life on Land), through promoting environmental awareness and encouraging positive behaviors within the university community.
The festival concluded with an emphasis on the continued support of the College Administration for such qualitative initiatives, which contribute to building an integrated educational environment that combines knowledge and practice
