In the context of strengthening academic and societal cooperation and expanding institutional partnerships, the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulhamza Al-Badewi, met on Tuesday, 22 April 2026, in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Miyali, with Mr. Ali Al-Talqani, Head of Al-Naba Dialogue Forum, to discuss avenues for enhancing joint cooperation between the College and the Forum.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Badewi emphasized the importance of building robust strategic partnerships that contribute to consolidating the College’s position as an active academic center in addressing national issues. He stressed that the coming phase requires the effective utilization of scientific research in serving societal priorities and aligning it with labor market needs through sustainable institutional initiatives grounded in the legal and administrative frameworks approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Baghdad.
The meeting focused on initiating the formulation of a joint cooperation mechanism between the two parties in accordance with established institutional procedures. This mechanism includes the implementation of research and applied studies, the organization of scientific and dialogue-based events, and the exchange of academic and intellectual expertise, thereby enhancing integration between the academic sphere and community institutions.
This orientation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: “Quality Education,” Goal 16: “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” and Goal 17: “Partnerships for the Goals.” Through such initiatives, the College seeks to foster a knowledge-based environment that supports constructive dialogue, promotes applied research, and establishes effective partnerships that contribute to community service and sustainable development.
