The Department of International Studies at the College of Political Science, University of Baghdad, organizes an awareness activity for sophomore students. The activity includes the preparation and publication of a poster titled: “Effective Strategies for Combating Cyberbullying,” under the supervision of Dr. Ayat Nasir Jaber and Dr. Amani Mohammed Sabri.
The activity highlights the dangers of cyberbullying and its negative impacts on individuals, and providing a set of guidelines that promote the safe and responsible use of social media by spreading a culture of respect and digital awareness.
The poster also aims to develop students’ awareness of the importance of protecting digital privacy and reducing negative behaviors in cyberspace, thereby contributing to the promotion of a healthy communication environment based on mutual respect.
This activity is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 regarding Quality Education, by promoting digital literacy, and Goal 16, which focuses on building peaceful and safe societies by spreading awareness of the dangers of cyberbullying and promoting a culture of respect and the rule of law in the digital space.
This activity comes within the framework of extracurricular activities through which the college seeks to support students’ skills and develop their capabilities in line with the requirements of the digital age
