Asst. Prof. Dr. Adel Abdulhamza Albdeewy, Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, received several members of the preparatory committee for Entrepreneurship Week from the Department of Science and Technology Parks.

This meeting, held during their field visit to the college on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, focused on strategies for cooperation and coordination to prepare for Global Entrepreneurship Week, scheduled for February 1–5, 2026. The Dean highlighted the college’s dedication to executing its entrepreneurial initiatives in accordance with a comprehensive action plan designed to guarantee the success of the upcoming events.

Dr. Albdeewy emphasized the significance of integrating entrepreneurship concepts within the university setting, considering them a potent tool for developing youth capabilities and fostering a culture of initiative and innovation. He reaffirmed the college’s support for all activities that empower students and enhance practical skills.

This orientation aligns with multiple Sustainable Development Goals, notably Goal 4 (Quality Education) through the promotion of experiential learning and skill development; Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by fostering an entrepreneurial culture; and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the encouragement of innovation and institutional capacity-building.

The visit was part of collaborative preparatory efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation among university units, aligning with the University of Baghdad’s strategic vision to support entrepreneurship programs and cultivate future-oriented competencies among students.
