This advancement comes under an effective academic administration led by the journal’s Editorial Board, headed by Professor Dr. Muntasser Majeed Hameed, which has worked to enhance the quality of published research, strengthen the peer-review process, and open the journal to Arab researchers. These efforts have contributed to increasing the journal’s impact and citation rates at the regional level.
The significance of this achievement is further amplified by the fact that the Journal of Political Science is the only Iraqi journal to have entered the list of the top ten most influential journals within the disciplines covered by the ARCIF 2025 report, at a time when no other Iraqi journal achieved a similar ranking in other scientific fields.
