The project includes the design and construction of a comprehensive internal network infrastructure for the college, in collaboration with a specialized entity and under the supervision of the Information Technology Unit. This will ensure the provision of stable and highly reliable internet services, with the potential for future expansion to accommodate various communication and internet systems. The project also includes connecting the network to electronic systems for tracking incoming and outgoing transactions, thereby contributing to enhanced institutional integration and improved efficiency in administrative and academic operations.
This project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education, by supporting the transition to an advanced digital learning environment; Goal 7 on clean energy, given the adoption of fiber optic technology, which reduces the negative environmental impacts associated with traditional power lines; Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth; and Goal 9 on industry, innovation, and infrastructure, through the creation of resilient and scalable infrastructure.
The project also falls within the objectives of the National Security Strategy, specifically Goal 16 on cybersecurity and Goal 25 on alternative and renewable energy, reflecting the college’s commitment to promoting digital transformation and supporting institutional sustainability and cybersecurity.
