The College of Political Science discussed the master’s thesis entitled “Public Policies and Their Role in Achieving Sustainable Development in Algeria after 2010,” submitted by the student Nadia Abbas Jawad. The thesis examined and analyzed the role of public policies in directing the course of sustainable development in Algeria in light of the political, economic, and social transformations the country has witnessed since 2010, and their implications for government priorities and public decision-making.

The thesis focused on a central issue concerning the extent to which Algerian public policies are capable of achieving sustainable development in its economic, social, and environmental dimensions. This was addressed through presenting the conceptual framework of public policies and sustainable development, analyzing the internal environment of policymaking after 2010, and discussing the paths of economic recovery and diversification, as well as the challenges facing the achievement of sustainability. This analysis was situated within a context linked to the strategy of developmental and economic security as one of the pillars of national security.

The thesis examination committee was composed of:

• Prof. Dr. Farah Diaa Hussein – Member and Supervisor

At the conclusion of the defense, the committee decided to accept the thesis with a grade of “Very Good,” after it had fulfilled the approved scientific and methodological requirements, with the necessary remarks recorded, in accordance with the academic procedures followed in postgraduate studies at the College of Political Science.
