During the inauguration, the Dean emphasized that the development of these classrooms forms part of an institutional vision aimed at providing a modern and stimulating learning environment, to enhance the quality of higher education and promote the intellectual and scientific development of students, in line with the epistemological and analytical requirements of the discipline of political science. This achievement contributes to the College’s broader academic mission of supporting Iraq’s national security strategy objectives, particularly in areas such as human capacity building, institutional stability, and fostering political and security awareness among younger generations where education is regarded as a fundamental pillar for safeguarding society that prepares graduates capable of contributing to decision-making processes and comprehending the dynamics of the political and security challenges confronting the state. Additionally, the inauguration of the new classrooms aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically 4 (quality education), 9 (infrastructure development), and 16 (building effective institutions and promoting social peace), all of which promote investing in education as a strategic instrument for development and stability.
Ultimately, this event demonstrates the College of Political Science’s dedication to continuous innovation and modernization, consolidating its academic standing as a leading institution in the preparation of scientific competencies, while also reflecting the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s orientation in elevating the quality of university education and supporting pathways of national development.
