The Dean of the College of Political Science – University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Abdul Hamza Al-Badiwi, took part in the official graduation photo day for the College’s students. The event was attended by a large number of faculty members and held in a celebratory academic atmosphere that reflected the significance of this pivotal milestone in the students’ academic journey, in addition to the presence of several graduates’ families.
During his participation, the Dean affirmed that the graduation photo day represents a well-established academic tradition that embodies the outcome of the students’ scholarly efforts throughout their years of study. It also reflects the depth of the academic and human relationship that connects the College with its students and faculty members. He emphasized the College’s commitment to accompanying students throughout the various stages of their educational journey up to the moment of graduation.
The event also witnessed the participation of several faculty members who expressed their pride in their students, affirming that this occasion marks the culmination of an academic journey grounded in commitment and academic discipline. They highlighted the pivotal role of the teaching staff in supporting and guiding students both scientifically and intellectually.
This participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) through fostering a supportive and excellence-driven educational environment, and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by reinforcing values of institutional belonging and building a conscious university generation capable of contributing to societal and institutional stability.
