First-semester exams for first-year students at the College of Political Science, University of Baghdad, commenced in a calm and well-organized atmosphere, under the direct supervision of the college dean’s office. This followed prior preparations by the academic departments to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the examination process.

In this context, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Adnan Al-Mayali, conducted a field visit to several examination halls to observe the examination procedures, monitor the implementation of approved examination regulations and guidelines, and assess the availability of necessary resources to enable students to take their exams in a suitable environment.

During his visit, the Assistant Dean reviewed the nature of the exam questions and their alignment with the curriculum. He emphasized the college dean’s commitment to providing a fair and organized examination environment that upholds the principle of equal opportunity and supports the educational process in accordance with the academic standards adopted at the University of Baghdad.

The tour also included monitoring the regularity of examination committees and their adherence to the set schedules, as well as emphasizing the importance of preparing examination halls in terms of services, organization, and administrative structure. This contributes to providing a stable environment that helps students take their exams calmly and with focus, especially first-year students experiencing their first university exams.

This field monitoring aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities by providing a safe and organized learning environment and improving the quality of the educational process and academic assessment.

For their part, a number of students expressed their satisfaction with the conduct of the exams and the organization in place, praising the efforts of the college’s deanship and faculty in creating suitable conditions, reflecting their concern for students and their support for their academic journey.

These efforts are part of the College of Political Science’s commitment to enhancing the quality of academic performance, adhering to approved university standards, and addressing students’ needs. This contributes to building a generation of university graduates who are aware, academically qualified, and capable of contributing to society.
