The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad continues its field program of visits to state institutions by organizing regular visits to the Iraqi Parliament building. The aim is to familiarize students with the workings of the legislative body and its organizational and oversight mechanisms firsthand.

The program has included multiple visits across four sessions, ensuring the participation of all academic levels in this applied activity. This allows students to gain practical experience that strengthens their theoretical understanding of the legislative authority’s functions and constitutional roles.

These visits are part of the college’s applied and awareness-raising curriculum, which aims to develop political awareness and deepen students’ understanding of the importance of state institutions in strengthening the democratic process and national decision-making.

In line with the sixteenth Sustainable Development Goal (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), the College of Political Science – University of Baghdad, through this program, seeks to build an active youth awareness that believes in the role of democratic institutions in achieving justice and promoting the principles of good governance, as well as establishing a culture of civic participation and respect for the law, which contributes to supporting the stability and progress of the state
