On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Prof. Dr. Baha Ibrahim Kazem, President of the University of Baghdad, visited the College of Political Science, where he was received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Adel Abdul-Hamza Al-Badewi.

The university president began his tour with a meeting with the Dean, during which they discussed the reality of the educational process in the College, as well as the means to enhance academic programs and develop administrative performance in line with the requirements of the current stage. He also reviewed the ongoing projects to upgrade the lecture halls, implemented by the College with the aim of improving the educational environment and providing suitable conditions for both students and faculty members.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Baha Ibrahim Ansaf affirmed the University Presidency’s commitment to following up on the needs of all colleges and supporting initiatives that aim to raise the level of higher education. He praised the efforts of the College of Political Science in carrying out academic development and infrastructure projects.

For his part, the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Adel Abdul-Hamza Al-Badewi, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the University President for his direct follow-up and continuous support, stressing that this visit represents an additional motivation to move forward in strengthening the College’s academic and research role in preparing specialized cadres capable of serving the state and society.

This visit comes within a series of field tours conducted by the President of the University of Baghdad to examine the conditions of the colleges and to follow up on the implementation of development and modernization plans, in line with the University’s vision of consolidating standards of quality and academic accreditation.

The College of Political Science – University of Baghdad, with its distinguished academic history and outstanding faculty members, constitutes a fundamental pillar in preparing future leaders and researchers, and continues today to strengthen its position as one of the leading colleges in the field of political studies at both the national and regional levels.
