The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific field visit to the Arab Scientific Heritage Revitalization Centre, with the participation of a number of first-year students (morning studies), under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Sudad Mouloud Saba.
The academic delegation was received by Professor Dr. Zainab Kamel Kareem, Head of the Manuscripts Department, and Mr. Fares Issa Fares, the Administrative Director of the Center. They accompanied the students on an introductory tour inside the Center’s facilities, which included viewing rare manuscripts and learning about their preservation and restoration methods, as well as becoming familiar with the cataloging and classification systems used in the heritage library.
The visit also included a tour of the Center’s museum, which houses a collection of valuable heritage artifacts. The students showed notable engagement and interest in the exhibits due to their historical and scientific significance.
At the end of the tour, Professor Dr. Zainab Kamel Kareem expressed her gratitude to the delegation from the College of Political Science, wishing the students continued success in their academic journey in service of the University of Baghdad and beloved Iraq.
