The Department of Political Thought at the College of Political Science in the University of Baghdad organized a unique volunteering activity for first-year morning studies students. The activity involved preparing and publishing an awareness poster entitled “Advantages of Communication Skills” in English language, under the supervision of Instructor Fatimah Ridha Atiyah.

The poster explained the importance and benefits of communication skills, which are essential for developing mental abilities and stimulating memory, particularly through their use in English language. These skills also contribute to strengthening the social fabric on and off campus, building confidence, developing a spirit of professionalism, empowering students to work collaboratively, and shaping a positive outlook toward others.

The supervising Instructor emphasized that developing communication skills in English language will enhance students’ competence and expand their opportunities in the future job market, thus enhancing university education outcomes.

This activity is considered within the framework of the voluntary extracurricular activities implemented by the Department of Political Thought, as part of its annual plan to support the skills of first-year students for the 2024-2025 academic year.
