The Information Technology Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training workshop entitled “The Mechanism for Uploading and Updating Information in the University Repository.” The workshop took place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in the college’s Freedom Hall.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Hamsa Imad Mahmoud, Head of the Information Technology Unit, who provided a detailed explanation of the mechanism for creating faculty accounts and updating their academic data in the university repository.
The workshop also highlighted the importance of enhancing academic output and promoting the academic identity of faculty members. It also outlined ways to improve the visibility of academic output, increase citations for faculty research, facilitate access to researchers by specialization, provide statistical data for academic output, and facilitate continuous updating of data for faculty members, unlike the previously adopted PDF format.
At the conclusion of the workshop, it was emphasized that faculty members must commit to uploading and updating their data within the specified timetables, in order to highlight their academic activities and enhance their academic presence in the scientific statistics approved by the university, thus contributing to supporting the future academic vision of the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad.
