Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science – University of Baghdad, and in cooperation with the Intelligence Agency’s Directorate for Combating Trafficking in Human Organs and the Ministry of Interior’s Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized an awareness seminar entitled “Understanding the Law on Combating Trafficking in Persons and Human Organs.” The seminar was held in the Martyr Walid Al-Kubaisi Hall at the college.
Presenters at the seminar included a distinguished group of specialists from the Ministry of Interior, including Colonel Haider Naim Mudhkur, Major Ahmad Mustafa Nasser, Lieutenant Ali Karim Abdul Ali, Lieutenant Colonel Fatima Nasser Qasim, and Commissioner Ibrahim Abd al-Sada Awad. The event was held in coordination with Dr. Shaymaa al-Zubaidi, a member of the Women’s Forum for Community Policing.
The seminar aimed to raise students’ awareness of the legal and humanitarian aspects related to the crime of human trafficking. It also highlighted the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to combat this phenomenon and informed attendees about the official channels for reporting such crimes.
This seminar is part of a series of awareness-raising activities carried out by the college in fulfillment of its educational and social responsibilities.
