The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis titled “Sovereignty in the Trends of Contemporary Iraqi Political Thought.”
By the student “Maryam Salam Ahmed”

The message explained that sovereignty plays a pivotal role in shaping political issues in contemporary Iraqi political thought, as it enjoys the supreme sovereignty of the supreme authority over its lands and resources and the beginning of innovation in them. They independently talk about sovereignty in Iraq and explicitly rely on the legacy of external interventions, internal conflicts and efforts arising from a stable and modern British regime, as Iraq’s history is characterized by a series of challenges to its independence, sovereignty and judicial unity. It was largely attended by the United States of America in 2003, and would be organized by the Islamic State, in addition to the volunteers of its neighbors from many countries, which led to a decline in the competition in Iraq, and thus affected the internal affairs of the country.
As a result, there are a number of different political blocs and parties that adopt a number of views on sovereignty, which often reflects one of their most important ideological outcomes and historical trade, as they enjoy legitimate Islamic and nationalist rule to preserve Iraq’s territorial integrity, national identity, sovereignty, and independence. Criticizing another entity, while parties try to create a self-competition between national sovereignty and the interests of society, while it is also a federal union of executive rule within a national framework. Partially favoring liberalism and socialism were short-sleeved with the global community, while opposition to the factions opposed to the external presence and its interference in internal affairs began, and thus saw this diverse and collective outlook on political opinion, and emphasized its position in shaping the political path of Iraq.

At the end of the discussion, the researcher was awarded a master’s degree with a grade of “very good, high.” We wish all our dear students good luck and success.
