The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis entitled “Mechanisms of Implementing Local Government and Their Repercussions on Societal Stability: Iraq and Sweden (Comparative Study)”
By the student “Dia Hassan Hashem”
The message addressed the differences between countries in their political systems in terms of form and content on the basis that the political system represents a reflection of the political and social reality of the state, and therefore the administration of governance also varies from one state to another. Some countries enjoy more political and social stability than others, especially those that enjoy institutional and administrative stability. It enjoys social cohesion that provides factors of stability for it, while others may not enjoy the same degree of political and social stability depending on the political and social circumstances they are experiencing, in addition to their societal composition, which may be suffering from a weakness in their societal cohesion. What is the relationship of local government to societal stability? With this question, we open the introduction to our study, because societal stability, and then the second variable in the subject of our study, is a desired goal behind the research into local governance between Iraq as a modern state during the era of its experience in local governance in the context of the democratic system and not in the context of the previous one (the authoritarian regime), and Sweden after that. A country with a long history of local government experience.
At the end of the discussion, the researcher was awarded a master’s degree with a grade of “very good, high.” We wish all our dear students good luck and success to all our esteemed students in their academic and professional pursuit .
