The University of Baghdad topped the ranking of Iraqi universities in the Round University Ranking (RUR), among 40 Iraqi universities that appeared in the ranking.
The Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the Presidency of the University, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, indicated that the University of Baghdad ranked 345 among more than 1,200 international universities in the field of teaching quality, as it comes within the first section of universities globally, explaining that the classification of international universities ( RUR) is a global university ranking system that measures the performance of more than 1,200 leading universities in the world from 82 countries using 20 unique indicators and 4 main areas of university activities that include teaching, research, international diversity and financial sustainability, where all the raw data for the RUR classification is provided by a global company It’s Thomson Reuters. This RUR rating covers the period from 2010 to the present.
It is noteworthy that the RUR classification was designed as an evaluation system aimed at providing sufficient information about the university’s performance to meet the tasks of personal stakeholders such as students, the academic community, university management and decision makers.
