The College of Political Science organized an educational awareness Festival on Tuesday, 28 October 2025, entitled “We Care” on the Occasion of Pink October, under the supervision of the Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the college, Assistant Prof. Basma Khalil Namiq.
The activities of the festival were managed by Teaching Assistant Aya Sadiq Juma with the noticeable participation of members of the Liaison Committee and the college’s students, with the attendance of the activity presenters: Teaching Assistant Aya Sadiq Juma, Teaching Assistant Zainab from the Educational and Psycological Research Center at the University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr.Maysaa Latif , and Dr.Alya Abdul-Ameer.
The festival’s activities included educational conversations on the psychological and medical aspects, research papers, an artistic gallery, an interactive conversation spot, and the distribution of identification carts and Brochures concerning the disease and its prevention methods.
The festival recommended enhancing psychological and physical awareness inside the University Campus , expanding cooperation with medical and socially relevant authorities, and confirming the importance of continuity in having such a kind of activities.
This festival was arranged in accordance with the goals of sustainable development: the third one, “the Good Health and prosperity”, and the fourth one, “Fine Education”, by spreading health awareness and enlightenment.
