The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad hosted a workshop held by the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University Presidency under the title “Discussion of the Mechanism of Publication in International Journals and Citations”, sponsored by the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, and supervised by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Mayali (Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs).
The Director of the Quality, Performance and University Assurance Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, indicated that the aim of holding such workshops is to identify the methods and modalities of scientific publishing in international journals to help produce research of quality and impact to serve our university, explaining to postgraduate students the mechanism of publishing controls for scientific research in scientific journals.
The workshop included lectures on submission policies for the publication of scientific research in scientific journals for each of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Science for Girls, Assistant Professor Dr. Yousra Abdel-Saheb Saif El-Din, and the lecturer at the College of Science for Girls, Professor Dr. Fikret Majeed Hassan.
At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Budaiwi, presented certificates of appreciation to the lecturers, expressing his thanks to the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance for holding these workshops, which explain to postgraduate students the global mechanisms followed for publishing in peer-reviewed and respected journals.
