The units of Continuing Education, Ibn Sina, Educational Guidance and Counseling, and Women Empowerment at the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Training and Development Directorate in the National Security Apparatus, organized a seminar titled ‘The Dangers of Drug Spread in Society and Ways to Combat It’, under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Adel Al-Badawi.

During his symposium, Lieutenant Colonel Karar Musafir in the National Security Agency pointed out the importance of such seminars by providing a detailed explanation about drugs, their types, their effect on the human body, the symptoms of addiction and ways to reduce them, and the social and health aspects of addiction, in addition to defining the role of academic institutions in educating the university community about the dangers of drugs.

At the conclusion of the symposium, the National Security Agency stressed the necessity of cooperating with the security services to achieve community security, as well as launching comprehensive awareness and education campaigns about the dangers of drugs in the university community, in addition to strengthening the family supervisory role.
