The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad, held a workshop for first-year evening studies’ students entitled “Common Linguistic and Grammatical Mistakes.” The workshop featured Dr. Hussein Fadhel Abbas, Dr. Hussein Hamza Al-Yasiri, and Assistant Instructor Maha Abdul Karim.
The workshop included a presentation of the most common linguistic mistakes in the cultural milieu: which are commonly treated as correct, as well as some mistakes are done in the manner of writing them. The workshop was an effort to provide students with as much benefit as possible.
At the end of the workshop, a span of time was assigned for students to debate and to answer their questions and inquiries regarding common linguistic and grammatical mistakes.
