The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad held the “Green Impact” initiative, under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Bdeewy, and with the participation of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Hisham Ezz El-Din Majeed, accompanied by a number of teaching staff members and fourth-year students.
The Dean of the College pointed out during his participation in the Green Impact initiative that this initiative is carried out by fourth-year students every year in order to leave a mark in the gardens of their mother college, explaining that this initiative aims to spread environmental awareness by increasing green spaces and individual’s share of them; in addition it enhances the environment and sustainable development, through planting trees and preserving them. This initiative constitutes a step towards enhancing environmental awareness and supporting collective efforts to preserve nature and the environment in our mother college.
The Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, Assistant Professor Basma Khalil Namiq, contributed to bringing seedlings in order to sustain this green initiative in an effort to support the Deanship’s efforts towards a sustainable green environment.
