Ibn Sina for Integrated Learning Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, held an educational workshop entitled “Electronic blackmail and its repercussions on society and ways to address and reduce it,” under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Budaiwi.
Dr. Zaman Jassim Muhammad indicated during her management of the workshop that the National Security Service was hosted in order to give a lecture on electronic blackmail, in addition to providing examples and methods for dealing with electronic blackmail and reducing it, and its effects on society.
The workshop reached a number of recommendations, most notably is that not communicating with the blackmailer, even when exposed to severe pressure, in addition to not transferring any sums of money, not responding to unknown people, avoiding quarrels, not threatening the blackmailer with calling the police, and reporting the occurrence of electronic blackmail directly to the specialized authorities.
At the end of the workshop, the dialogue was opened for the attendees in order to answer their inquiries and questions about electronic blackmail and its repercussions on society.
