The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad conducted an awareness campaign to combat corruption, under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Budaiwi.

Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Mayali, during his supervision of the campaign organized by Assistant Professor Fawzia Khudakarm Aziz with the students of the first stage in morning studies, pointed out that the phenomenon of corruption is not limited to a specific sector of society in terms of the negatives it produces, but rather its effects extend to all members of society and it has a direct impact on the state’s economy, as it is a major obstacle to the wheel of economic development. He explained that the phenomenon of corruption has received the attention of many researchers and those interested in community affairs. Opinions have agreed on the necessity of developing and establishing an institutional framework whose purpose is to reduce the size of this phenomenon and combat it through serious and specific steps to accelerate the economic development process.
