The University of Baghdad offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and funded scholarships (which include study fees and housing) to non-Iraqi students from all over the world.
The establishment of the College of Political Science dates back to 1959, when the (Department of Political Science) was established in the College of Arts, then the department became a new college that was established in 1963 under the name (College of Economics and Political Science). With the reorganization of the University of Baghdad in 1969, the Department of Political Science became part of the College of Law and Politics. In 1987, the department was transformed into a new independent college under the name (College of Political Science).
The college provides five postgraduate programs through three of its departments. The College of Political Science / University of Baghdad offers its scholarships for non-Iraqi students to apply for, as the scholarship committee will review and evaluate all submitted applications according to number of criteria that include the applicant’s academic qualifications and achievements, language level, in addition to the requirements of the course. The Committee may also contact the applicant to schedule an online interview to discuss further information and details about the applicant.
