College Policies

The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad is devoted to providing a comprehensive framework in political and legal education by developing and maintaining well-structured curricula that enable students to understand the systems, policies, and laws to define their rights and responsibilities. The objective is to establish politically informed students and, ultimately, good citizens who are mindful of their civic duties.

The college is also committed to empowering students through conducting political analyses that nurture intellectual and cultural development among graduates while contributing to the college’s reputation both regionally and globally among institutions of political science.

Key policies to achieve and maintain success:

1. Transformational Policies: to align with other leading political science colleges worldwide and to maintain updated academic programs, the College of Political Science conducts a fundamental policy change to transition from an annual academic program to a course-based system.

2. Development Policies: Implementing long-term development for curricula, study resources, and research programs to establish a robust foundation for academic governance.

3. Organizational Policies: Establishing standards for institutional stewardship and organization, fostering a work environment grounded in a genuine organizational culture.

4. Sub-Policies: The College aims to:

* Build foundational academic structures for titles of theses, dissertations, research, and academic programs.
* Diversify the course offerings in both graduate and undergraduate programs.
* Incorporate recent and contemporary scientific resources while updating educational materials to align with advancements in the field.

5. Fundamental Policies:
