International Studies Department

The specialization of international studies is one of the disciplines associated with the study of all relations between states, and it is a branch of political science, and it is not limited to what is related to politics only, but the specialization is related to international relations in all its dimensions, economic, ideological, cultural and social, and what is related to the foreign and internal affairs of states, and the specialization benefits From many scientific fields, including psychology, sociology, geography, history and international law.

The International studies department seeks to meet the needs of the community, with what it can do in terms of qualitative development of human resources in the areas of knowledge and value, and work towards meeting the needs of the labor market.

The International studies department works to promotes political knowledge in its belief in the need for its graduates to occupy appropriate jobs in international organizations and in the management of private institutions as responsible for international relations as well as work in research centers and political and strategic studies. Government jobs that require special preparation of diplomatic and consular cadres, as well as acquiring experience and knowledge in international relations.

5-Paying attention to educating students to reach an outstanding level.

7-Preparing and qualifying students in the field of international relations and providing them with a high level of knowledge in their field of specialization.

1-Branch Council: It consists of all members of the staff in the branch and is headed by the head of the branch. It is concerned with discussing and developing matters related to the branch that contribute to formulate the branch’s general policy related to scientific affairs and scientific research.

2-Head of the branch: he/she works to achieve the higher goals and policies in the university and the college, who exercises his powers and scientific and administrative duties in accordance with the law

3-The branch rapporteur: He deputizes for the branch head in some of the powers or in the absence of his/her presence and assists the branch head by supervising all the scientific and administrative affairs of the branch.

4-Branch secretariat: It follows up the implementation of the instructions of the branch, receives mails and presents it to the branch head, and follows up on incoming and outgoing mail and the branch’s answers to it. Informing the branch members of the mail related to them, following up on what is required of them, keeping and archiving files, organizing them, carrying out writing, printing and copying work, organizing and preparing everything related to the teaching staff, scientifically and administratively, and postgraduate students.
