The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad discussed a Master’s thesis titled ‘Cooperation Strategies for Major Countries to Make Peace in the Middle East after 2011’ by the student “Iyar Nasser Hussein.”
“The thesis discussed the strategy of any country on topics of great importance in the field of strategic and international studies, especially regarding the strategies of major countries and their role in making peace in a very important and vital region in the world, which is the Middle East.””This is where the importance of our topic comes in, titled ‘Cooperation Strategies for Major Countries and Making Peace towards the Middle East after 2011.’ This study will focus in detail on the beginning of the Arab uprisings and the shift in strategies of major countries towards a cooperative behavior to make peace in the Middle East.””The study will seek to provide a clear overview and consistent analysis of the strategies pursued by major countries towards the Middle East and their implications on the region’s crises.””The research begins with an introduction that outlines the significance of studying the topic, the problem the research aims to solve, and the hypothesis that will be tested and proven through a scientific methodology and a work plan comprising three main chapters, each of which focuses on a vital aspect of the research.””The first chapter focused on defining the basic concepts of the study in three sections.””The first section focused on defining the concept of strategy and introducing the Middle Eastern component. The second section was dedicated to defining the concept of major powers, as well as defining international cooperation based on the theories of Realism, Liberalism, and Constructivism in International Relations.””The third section focused on defining peace and the various approaches and related concepts. The second chapter was dedicated to the strategies of major powers towards the Middle East region. At the end of the discussion, the researcher was awarded a Master’s degree with a ‘very good’ grade, and we wish all our students success in their academic lives.”
