1- Preparing and equipping the college stadium and providing the necessary sports equipment (clothes, balls, rackets, cups, and medals). As well as providing a sports hall (a gym equipped with sports equipment)
2- Training male and female students during class hours related to student activities by the lecturers of the Student Activities Unit and preparing students to participate in university tournaments.
3- Participation of male and female students in the university sports tournaments according to the annual university curriculum.
4- Participation of students in field visits to the Iraqi Museum and the University of Baghdad Museum, in addition to visits to research centers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Council of Representatives. Holding lectures and discussion groups learning about the nature of work in these institutions.
5- Urging students to do voluntary work, initiatives, and contribute with, support, and spread the spirit of cooperation among students and college staff members such as (tree planting campaigns, cleaning and planning the college playground, a voluntary initiative during the Arbaeen visit that includes a campaign to collect empty bottles and educate visitors on preserving the environment and personal hygiene to preserve their health, as well as campaigns to support children in displaced persons camps).
6- Providing health awareness and educational consultations by holding educational workshops on the dangers of smoking and drugs; and caring for sports and healthy food. As well as educating university students to adapt to university milieu.
7- Gaining talented and creative students in various arts (drawing – calligraphy and decoration – music – theater – poetry – etc.), and providing a studio equipped with all drawing supplies. Students’ participation in exhibitions and festivals held inside and outside the college, providing them with moral support.
8- Students’ participation in scouting camps inside and outside the university under the supervision of professors of the scouting committee in the college. The scout camps include lectures on first aid and civil defense instructions
1-The College of Political Science offers book borrowing services for researchers and students from various Iraqi universities.
2-The College of Political Science provides a journal for publishing scientific research in political science, allowing researchers from Iraqi and Arab universities to disseminate their work.
3-The College of Political Science launches an awareness campaign specifically for the visitors of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage for Imam Hussein. This campaign, held under the slogan “Enriching Life and Promoting Sustainability: The Arbaeen Visit as a Model,” includes health guidelines, volunteer camps along the pilgrimage route for logistical support, trash removal, and tent installations to serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussein.
4-As part of its commitment to humanitarian activities, third-year students of the College of Political Science visited the Al-Ain Social Care Foundation, supervised by Professor Dr. Rasha Amer Sadiq Al-Rafqani. During this visit, students met with the foundation’s administration, were briefed on its premises and initiatives to support orphans, such as a clothing donation exhibition for families in need. The students also toured the psychological rehabilitation and counseling center, designed to support and reintegrate orphans into society, and the “My Story” center, which aims to cultivate future leaders and elites among the foundation’s children. After the tour, the students donated a sum of money to the foundation, which will be distributed to orphans to support families who lost their breadwinners due to terrorism or while serving the nation—a gesture of gratitude to the families of those heroes who sacrificed their lives for their homeland and its sanctities.
5-A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the College of Political Science, University of Baghdad, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports / Youth Parliament Affairs Department to enhance collaboration between ministries, institutions, and Iraqi universities. The goals of the MoU include:
Organizing joint conferences, seminars, training courses, and discussion sessions, with topics selected in consultation between both parties.
Conducting research projects of academic and field interest, to be published in recognized Iraqi or international academic journals and in the publications of both parties, following established procedural standards.
Facilitating reciprocal field visits for students and youth to learn about academic, research, and cultural activities, broadening influence and fostering mutual interaction to achieve the intended objectives.
6-The College of Political Science launches a volunteer campaign titled “Green Impact,” aimed at promoting environmental awareness by increasing green spaces and individual access to them. Benefits of tree planting highlighted by the campaign include:
Reducing dust pollution and mitigating temperature rise.
Trees as oxygen factories, absorbing carbon dioxide.
Tree planting helps counteract carbon emissions and climate change.
Increasing individual green space and combating pollution through air purification.
7-The College of Political Science organizes a volunteer initiative titled “Make Their Winter Warmer,” involving visits to Bzebiz camps for displaced families, providing essential winter supplies for children’s warmth
