The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad organized a stand in solidarity with the Gaza Strip and the pro-Palestinian protests at dozens of American universities, in response to the call of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, who directed Iraqi public and private universities and academic institutions to organize stands of victory, solidarity, and support for the people of Palestine, as well as Expressing support for the free voices in international universities that condemned and denounced the crimes of the occupation.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Budaiwi, affirmed the solidarity of all segments of Iraqi people and the academic community in standing against the violations that the Palestinians are exposed to as a result of the brutal Israeli occupation, explaining that this stance is a gesture of pride and honor for the heroism embodied by our brothers in occupied Palestine, calling on the International community to bear its responsibility towards the crimes committed by the Israeli enemy against the Palestinian people, and to support their right in the independence of their country.
The Dean of the College expressed his thanks and appreciation to the attendees, including professors, employees, and students, for this honorable stand, which included raising Palestinian flags and banners supporting the right of the Palestinian people in freedom and independence.
