The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad organized the “Green Impact” initiative, with the participation of a number of professors and fourth-year students. The initiative was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Badaiwi.
During his participation in the “Green Impact” initiative, the Dean of the College pointed out that fourth-year students carry out this initiative every year in order to leave their mark in the gardens of their college. He explained that this campaign aims to raise environmental awareness by increasing green spaces and individuals’ share of them, as well as promoting the environment and sustainable development through tree planting and preservation.
This initiative represents a step towards promoting environmental awareness and supporting collective efforts to preserve nature and the environment in their college. Additionally, Assistant Professor Basma Khalil Namik, the head of the Psychological Guidance and Educational Counseling Unit, contributed by providing seedlings to sustain this green initiative, in support of the college’s efforts towards a sustainable green environment.
