The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad obtained the first place in Iraq within the competition for the best graduation project. This was achieved within a competition organized by the Prime Minister’s National Security Advisor, focusing on combating violent extremism, hate speeches, spreading the spirit of tolerance, and peace-building. The student Ali Qasim Khairallah’s research titled ‘A Strategy to Counter Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism as a Model’ was chosen as the best research in Iraq. It was supervised by Assistant Professor Laith Issam Majid Al-Obaidi. The evaluations were conducted by a committee of professors and specialized experts formed by the Department of Studies, Planning, and Monitoring at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Adel Al-Badawi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Ali Al-Muzaffar and his research supervisor, Laith Al-Obaidi, wishing them continued dedication and scientific advancement in service of our college and our university.
