The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad held a lecture for postgraduate students on publishing scientific research in reputable journals under the title “Digital Citizenship: A Study in Concept and Dimensions.”
During her lecture, Assistant Professor Dr. Amal Hindi Al-Khazali referred to the concept of digital citizenship, explaining that in recent decades the world has witnessed a massive scientific revolution that contributed to the production of high-level technological means and technical devices, the effects of which were reflected at all levels, whether political, economic or social levels. This revolution is supposed to contribute to preparing citizens who deal with technology efficiently and skillfully and adhere to standards of acceptable behavior when using it.
Researchers and thinkers have applied the term digital citizenship to the process of preparing citizens to deal with modern technologies, as it can be defined as a set of rules, controls, standards, customs, ideas, and principles followed in the optimal use of technology that citizens need in order to contribute to the advancement of the nation.
At the end of the lecture, the dialogue was opened for postgraduate students in order to answer questions and inquiries about the lecture.
