The College of Political Science participated in the marathon, organized by the university under the theme of “Love and Peace,” with the participation of sports teams from Iraqi, Arab, and international universities. This event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Na’im Al-Obaidi, under the supervision of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hameed Al-Saadi, in collaboration with the Student Activities Department at the Ministry’s Supervision and Evaluation Agency and the Iraqi Federation of Athletics. This sports initiative represents an opportunity for universities to engage and enhance international relations through sports competition and cultural cooperation. Taha Yassin Hussein, a third-year student of Political Science, achieved the tenth place in the marathon race for the morning studies, and Maryam Abdul Karim Hikmat, a fourth-year student in the evening studies, participated with artistic paintings. The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Badiwi, praised the role of the Student Activities Unit in the College for their effective participation in the University of Baghdad’s marathon, and he thanked the college’s students who took part in this event, wishing them more success in promoting the values of love and peace in our university.
