The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis titled “Taiwan’s place in the American-Chinese strategic perception after 2009.”

The letter explained that the international standing has an impact on the country’s strategic importance in its relations with other regional and international countries, and Taiwan is one of the most important issues that raises disagreement between the two countries, as Taiwan is an ancient legacy of the People’s Republic of China and an integral part of it. As for the United States, it is considered a link connecting it in the region. Asia-Pacific, through which the United States intends, with the help of its allies, Japan and South Korea. Taiwan also has important economic importance as it is one of the largest countries that manufacture electronic chips and semiconductors, in addition to using Taiwan as a trump card to try to contain Chinese regional expansion in the region and try to encircle it. The study attempts to find the factors that make the two sides move away from the policy of escalation through… Strait in thought and practice, or at least control and analyze any escalatory conflicts, so as not to lose control in these interactions and then afterwards.
