A master\u2019s thesis entitled:<\/span><\/strong>
\n\u201cThe Foreign Policies of Revisionist Powers and Their Impact on the Stability of the International System after 2013\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
\nwas discussed at the College of Political Science, University of Baghdad, on Thursday, May 7, 2026. The thesis was submitted by the student Saad Mohsen Mahdon from the Department of International Studies, at Dr. Jihad Al-Hassani Hall, in the presence of a number of professors and researchers.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The thesis examined the impact of revisionist powers on the stability of the international system after 2013 through analyzing their external behavior and adopted policies based on their political, economic, military, and geographical sources of power and influence. The thesis also explored the objectives and instruments of the foreign policies of these powers and their perceptions of the international system, in addition to analyzing the Russian\u2013Chinese rapprochement and its role in reshaping international balances of power, alongside reviewing the most prominent opportunities and challenges facing revisionist powers within the contemporary international environment.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The thesis reached a number of conclusions, most notably that revisionist powers possess strategic capabilities that have made them influential actors in the international system, and that the Russian\u2013Chinese convergence in visions, interests, and objectives represents one of the most significant factors contributing to undermining American hegemony and reshaping international balances.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The committee decided to accept the thesis with a grade of \u201cVery Good.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
