The Journal of Political Science, published by the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, has achieved a distinguished academic milestone by ranking third among the top ten most influential Arab journals in the field of political science, according to the Arab Citation & Impact Factor (ARCIF) Report for 2025.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This ranking represents a prestigious regional recognition of the journal\u2019s academic standing and the rigorous scholarly research it publishes, which contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field of political science and reflects its commitment to established methodological and scientific standards in high-quality academic publishing.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This advancement comes under an effective academic administration led by the journal\u2019s Editorial Board, headed by Professor Dr. Muntasser Majeed Hameed, which has worked to enhance the quality of published research, strengthen the peer-review process, and open the journal to Arab researchers. These efforts have contributed to increasing the journal\u2019s impact and citation rates at the regional level.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The significance of this achievement is further amplified by the fact that the Journal of Political Science is the only Iraqi journal to have entered the list of the top ten most influential journals within the disciplines covered by the ARCIF 2025 report, at a time when no other Iraqi journal achieved a similar ranking in other scientific fields.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad affirms that this achievement is the result of cumulative efforts exerted by the University\u2019s Scientific Journals Committee, the College Deanship, and the Editorial Board, in addition to reviewers and researchers. It reflects the college\u2019s and the university\u2019s commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing the presence of Iraqi journals in Arab and international indexing and ranking systems.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
