In line with keeping pace with rapid international transformations, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Abdul Hamza Al-Bedaiwi, Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, participates in a specialized scientific seminar organized by the Hammurabi Center for Research and Strategic Studies, on Saturday, January 17, titled “International and Regional Developments and Their Impact on the Global System,” with the participation of a selection of elite academics and researchers specialized in political and strategic affairs.<\/span><\/strong>
\nDuring the seminar, Dr. Al-Bedaiwi presents an in-depth analytical reading of current geopolitical shifts, shedding light on the structural changes in the international system’s framework and the mechanisms of American policy in managing its strategic interests, amidst escalating international crises and the overlapping regional and international dimensions of existing conflicts.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe Dean of the College of Political Science discusses the repercussions of these transformations on regional states and countries targeted by crises, explaining that the nature of the global system is undergoing a reshaping phase that requires a precise understanding of power dynamics, alliances, and instruments of political and economic influence.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe seminar also dedicates an important pillar to discussing the challenges of Iraqi national security, where Dr. Al-Bedaiwi stresses the necessity for the decision-maker in Iraq to possess advanced strategic awareness of the nature of international variables, contributing to the formulation of proactive policies and plans capable of protecting the country’s security and enhancing its stability in a highly complex regional and international environment.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe seminar’s themes align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16 regarding “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” by enhancing the understanding of security and stability issues and building institutions capable of responding to challenges, in addition to Goal 17 regarding “Partnerships for the Goals,” through supporting academic dialogue and research cooperation on international and regional issues<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
