The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad successfully concluded a training course titled \u201cThe Role of Language in Building International Relations,\u201d by the Continuing Education Unit. Held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 and over a span of two days, the course took place in the hall of graduate studies and featured participation from a group of college staff members.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Facilitated by Professor Dr. Inas Naji and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Adnan Aziz, the course explored the pivotal function of language as a dynamic tool for fostering influence and trust-building in diplomatic and institutional communication, while also elucidating methodologies for drafting official correspondence and fostering professional dialogue with both local and international stakeholders.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The closing remarks highlighted several recommendations. These included the adoption of a standardized format for official communications from the college\u2019s departments, and the development of a simplified bilingual guide for official correspondence in both Arabic and English. Besides that, it encouraged broadening the scope of future training course participation to include administrative personnel.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This training initiative aligns with the objectives of the Iraqi National Security Strategy for 2025\u20132030 by enhancing the efficiency of institutional communication and promoting responsible discourse, while also contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16, which focuses on strong institutions, and Goal 17, which emphasizes partnerships and achieving shared objectives<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
