The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Political Science \u2013 University of Baghdad organized a training workshop entitled \u201cTerrorism: Types and Mechanisms of Confrontation\u201d in Jihad Al-Hassani Hall at the college, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and specialized researchers.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop shed light on the concept of terrorism and its various forms, reviewed the major security and ideological challenges it poses, and discussed mechanisms of confrontation at both the national and international levels. It also presented models and case studies of international experiences in this field.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop recommended continuing to hold similar awareness programs to enhance participants\u2019 capacities in countering terrorism, as well as encouraging applied research and studies that contribute to promoting security and stability.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This workshop comes in line with the 16th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and aligns with the Iraqi National Plan aimed at strengthening societal stability and developing institutional capacities.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
