The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Political Science \u2013 University of Baghdad organized a specialized training course entitled: \u201cImplementing the National Institutional Accreditation Standards for Higher Education Institutions in Iraq.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The course was delivered by Dr. Venus Ghalib, a faculty member in the Department of International Studies, with the attendance and participation of a number of faculty members and staff, under the direct supervision of the Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Division, Dr. Mohammed Hussein Ali.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The course aimed to enhance participants\u2019 understanding of the mechanisms for writing the self-evaluation report, contributing to the achievement of institutional accreditation standards at the college, by identifying quality requirements and tools for improving institutional performance.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The course included two main topics:<\/span><\/strong>
\n\u2022 The first topic: A detailed explanation of the eight institutional accreditation standards.<\/span><\/strong>
\n\u2022 The second topic: A presentation on the mechanisms for writing the self-evaluation report and the improvement plan in accordance with approved regulations.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This course comes as part of the college\u2019s ongoing efforts to develop academic and administrative performance and to prepare the requirements for obtaining national institutional accreditation.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
