The Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Bedeewy, received a delegation from the German Embassy headed by the Embassy’s Political Advisor Mike Laufer, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Hisham Ezz El-Din Majeed.<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe Dean of the College indicated that the delegation presented a seminar entitled “Democracy in Germany and Elections”, in order to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, in terms of exchanging knowledge and experience with professors and students about democratic and electoral systems and their results.<\/strong><\/span>
\nFor his part, the Political Advisor to the Embassy stressed that elections are the basis of every democratic system, as federal elections are being held today in Germany, and we took this opportunity to introduce the democratic system in Germany.<\/strong><\/span>
\nIn conclusion, the door was opened for dialogue for the attendees in order to answer their questions and inquiries regarding democracy and elections.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
